Soak it in

IMG_4232

Snow days in March?  It may be dry and grey outside, but I sure as heck don’t want my skin to be!  Here’s my current collection of favorites to get everything buffed, clear and glowing in under 3 minutes:

  1. Exfoliate: Slough of any dull, dry skin cells with Acure Brilliantly Brightening Facial Scrub.  This key first step preps your face so the active ingredients you put on next will be more fully absorbed.
  2. Treat: Apply Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair serum with retinol (any enemy of wrinkles is a friend of mine!).
  3. Hydrate: Tap Laneige Water Bank gel around eyes (pro tip: use your ring finger to gently tap, not rub, product in) and finish by applying Sunday Riley Tidal cream all over.  The lightweight, non-oily feel and fresh, subtle fragrance is a total winning combination!

Ultimate Spring Staple

Screen Shot 2018-03-07 at 10.16.20 AM

Everyone loves a great layering tee, but this season, my new love is this Leith tank dress.  It is super versatile, flattering, comfortable and cute.  If that’s not a win, I don’t want to play the game!

Toss is on with a little jean jacket and sandals (shown here); layer it with a soft open cardigan and street sneakers on the weekend, or dress it up with pointy-toe heels and a moto jacket at night.  Basically, it’s the ultimate base layer for everything else you want to wear this spring and summer.

*This dress is a body-con style that runs TTS.  For a more relaxed look, size up.

Weekend Vibes

This Friday has me thinking ahead to spring flowers.  They’re just around the corner, right?  That’s what I keep telling myself during all this rain!  With that in mind, here’s my weekend style inspiration: A bold spring floral,  some flirty ruffles, fun statement earrings and, of course, denim.  Because, no matter what trends come and go, you can’t beat a great-fitting pair of jeans!

Last Minute Gifts He’ll Love

Untitled design (2)Does shopping for Valentine’s Days gifts ever make you feel like Goldilocks?  Too sappy.  Too serious. Too cliche.  Don’t sweat it.  Here are 5 stylish, practical, fun finds, guaranteed to be “just right” for the special guy in your life.

For the craft-beer lover: This classic stainless steel Stanley growler ($35) will keep 64oz. of his favorite IPA or ale cold for up to 24 hours (and looks better than a stack of cans). Perfect for après ski, days at the beach, tailgating, picnics, stargazing or wherever the weekend takes you.

For the renaissance man: Because the only thing that would make him more impressive would be knowing how to saber a champagne bottle (no, seriously!).  The Kaufman Merchantile Guide ($13.50).

For the music lover: The sleekest, chicest reason to start collecting his favorite tunes on vinyl.  Plus, this Audio Tecnica turntable ($179) is equipped with bluetooth so he can pair them with his wireless speakers.

For the world traveler: Rugged enough for the hiking trail, yet tailored for modern adventures (hello, padded laptop sleeve), The North Face jester backpack in Turkish Sea ($65) is sure to be his new favorite carryall.

For the guy who has everything:  Clothes don’t make the man, but a pair of classic shades never hurts.  Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses ($150)

Paradise found

And just like that, it’s February. While I actually do enjoy a little winter weather, there’s only so much hygge I can handle before I start dreaming about escaping to anywhere tropical. And in my book, there are few destinations that can rival LaSamanna in St Martin. White sand. Blue sky. Picture perfect.

Not-so-Basic Plates

These Williams-Sonoma Brasserie plates are my go-with-everything staple. Simple, clean, with just one band of beautiful dark blue.  They’re striking on their own, but versatile enough to work with almost any color scheme. Dress them up with a bold print napkin and a gold charger, or work them in to a softer setting with chinoiserie pottery and pale accents.

What’s your favorite way to add some blue & white to your table?
